William Kardaras and LouAnn Kelleher founded this firm more than 20 years ago. Over the years there have been a few name changes, but the heart of this firm has always been Kardaras and Kelleher and their dedication to providing excellent legal service.
Bill and LouAnn started their careers in maritime law, representing ship owners in Jones Act seaman claims. The Jones Act is predicated on a standard of strict liability; therefore, when the U.S. shipping lines went foreign flag, it was a natural progression for Bill and LouAnn to become involved in products liability claims where strict liability is also often the standard.
Today, Kardaras & Kelleher LLP specializes in representing foreign corporations in U.S. litigation and working with insurers who write and issue policies worldwide. Products liability and premises liability have become the firm’s primary areas of expertise. Over the years, Kardaras & Kelleher LLP has represented almost every major hotel chain in U.S. litigation involving all manner of claims, including the emerging law of civil terrorism. We also have considerable experience representing insurers in disputes arising out of manuscript policies written in Europe and the Far East, and are experts in coverage interpretation and litigating policy disputes.
